32 Intriguing shorts from the AT&T Create-a-thon in Los Angeles
On September 15 – 17, the AT&T Developer Program hosted an AT&T Create-a-thon at Cross Campus DTLA, So-Cal’s most dynamic network of coworking and office spaces, in sunny Los Angeles. We were completely blown away with the over 200 creators and filmmakers that came out to participate!
On Friday night we started the event by thanking our media sponsor, ProductionHub, and then covered the rules and answered questions. The energy in room was electric! Everyone was anxious to start on their projects. After the kick off, teams left the event to start filming all over Los Angeles. When we checked in with teams on Saturday, they were hard at work filming and editing!
After a long weekend of shooting and editing, films were due on Sunday afternoon. With over 30 entries to show, we needed to set up two screening rooms. To accommodate the change in process, we provided an additional prize for “shot using mobile video” and “second and third place” winners for each screening room. The top films from each screening room went head-to-head in the judges’ deliberation to determine an overall winner.
Be sure to check out the playlist of the films that were submitted.
